Here I gathered some great documentation examples to inspire you to create effective and user-friendly user manuals.

Grav

Grav is a Fast, Simple, and Flexible file-based Web-platform. They realized a good idea in their documentation — topics that you’ve read are marked. It’s an interesting concept to make your documentation more user-friendly.

Relyence User Guide

Relyence changed the homepage layout completely. They stick to the minimalistic approach which also found its way in their documentation, where clear typography and minimal styling prevail. Moreover, they have different projects on one place, so readers can reach the necessary project easy.

Interactive manual for Samsung 4-Door Refrigerator

Interactive manuals work great for devices. First of all, it’s just interesting for users to click the item and interact with your documentation.

Moreover, it’s helpful when a user doesn’t need the full information about a refrigerator.

Apple Documentation

As you can see, screenshots are shown when you scroll down. It helps to make documentation more concise, and it’s more comfortable to follow steps when a text and screenshot are on one level.

Funancial SMART User Guide

Funancial went heavy on their portal branding. Adhering to minimal design, their homepage features all of the main entry points of their documentation, split into several groups. Moreover, they hide TOC to show only the necessary information.
